Show Rules: Substitutions of animals enterd, for reasons satisfactory to the management or your veterinarian’s written explanation, will be permitted prior to the opening of the fair provided the animal to be substituted was owned by the exhibitor at least 30 days prior to the opening of the fair. NO SUBSTITUTIONS AFTER OFFICIAL CHECK-IN.
 All animals must be stalled. Sand will be provided by the Lancaster Event Center.
 
All llamas 5 months and older entered in approved classes, with the exception of youth classes, MUST BE registered or have passed screening in the Llama Division of the International Llama Registry (ILR) of the Canadian Livestock Record Corporation (CLRC). Non-breeder llamas do not have to be registered or have passed screening with the ILR or the CLRC. If non-breeders are not registered and wish to be in the ALSA award system and wish to show in halter, they must show in the adult non-breeder halter class.
 
All alpacas entered in a show must be registered by the Alpaca Registry, Inc. (ARI) or by Canadian Livestock Records Corporation (CLRC) or the International Llama Registry (ILR). Pending registration (Applications for Registration) for alpacas are accepted on a year-to-year basis pending ALSA board approval.
Upon arrival, pick up an Exhibitor Packet at the Superintendent’s booth for show information and/or changes, plus all other information and exhibitor numbers.
 
Animals may be entered in youth or non youth classes, but not both. (See current ALSA Handbook for complete youth rules.)  If an exhibitor is borrowing an animal they must have permission to show form. You can get this off of the ALSO website.
In special needs classes the Public Relations and Obstacle will be combinded to compete for Grand and Reserve.
Part I, Section 5, K (14th edition) reads as follows: "It is recommended that exhibitors 8 years through 12 years of age NOT SHOW intact males over 24 months of age, with the choice of acceptance or decline lying with show management and stated in their premium show booklet."
