Show Rules: This division is ideal for participants who experience physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and/or visual impairments. This division is open to adults ages 18 & up (by January 1 2010). If you need assistance registering please call Kayla at the Lancaster Event Center at 402-441-6545.  All entries must be original- not copied from any published source. Entries previously entered are not eligible. Only one Exhibit may be entered for each class number. Due care will be exercised in handling each exhibit, but the Ag Society will not be responsible for articles lost, damaged or stolen. Fragile work and extremely large pieces should not be entered. No articles will be release before specified time. If you are unable to pick up your exhibits are the release time, it is your responsibility to find someone to do so. At Superintendent’s and/or judges discretion, classes with few entries may be combined with others, and classes with an overly large number of entries may be subdivided. Any items remaining after 1:00pm will be disposed of unless other arrangments are made.
Judging is merit-based. At judge’s discretion, not all placings will be awarded if exhibits do not merit placing. Ribbons may be awarded for 1st through 6th place and all others will receive participant ribbons.
Judging Scale:
Choice of Subject
Composition- use of design elements and principles
Workmanship- media choice and its technical skill
Originality- not copies, interesting
Showmanship- mounting and overall appearance
Artistic Arrangements- containers (can be homemade or purchased) will also be judged.
Scare Crow- One entry per person in this lot. Scarecrow made of natural and non-natural (paper-mache, plastic, etc.). Height 4’-5’ maximum. Must be secured to a 6’ stake. Arm spread 2’-4’ maximum. Scare crow must be place in a bucket of sand or stand-this is to be provided by the exhibitor.
Foods- baked product must be made from scratch.
Textiles- items may be made using any type of materials.
Fine Arts-
-Photography- Photography must be mounted on white poster board. Entry should not exceed 12”x18” is size. No frames, no glass, no sawtooth hangers please.
-Two-Dimensional Art work- Photography must be mounted on white poster board. Entry should not exceed 12”x18” is size. No frames, no glass, no sawtooth hangers please.
- Just For Fun- Lego's- famous architecture, vehicles, robots, animals. Red, White and Blue item using any materials. Keepsake Box- No requirements.
